"porobably not Dance" - This fits in the dance category ^^
Your track has a very happy feeling to it, and I like that a lot :)

My main feedback would about the mixing of the kick and the bass. They don't blend very well together and in the sub section it kinda becomes blurry. It sounds kind of messy and that takes the pumping feeling away. And that would be a shame, since the melody's and the lead sounds are awsome :)

Little trick to mix your kick and bass ;)

Vdragonb responds:

Thanks!
I'll use this trick next time.

First of all, this is pretty weird, and thats the reason why I like it :P It messes with my mind because I can't hear a clear pattern in the music. Would be cool for a game :)

The only thing that bothers me is that there isn't a real beginning or ending. The song changes, but the energy level stays the same. The song is giving 100% all the time, and that gets little bit overwhelming. Maybe you shouldn't play all the instruments/sound from the beginning. Little bit more of a built-up :)

The technical part: The mix is really well done! Especially the bass ^^

dadark1ord responds:

I did not even try to mix this...

Awsome! Love the diversity in your sounds, the creepy feeling it gives and I really dig the soft percussion.

I'm not really familiar with this kind of music, so i'm not feeling appropriate to give big feedback or anything. I just like it very much, well done.

Following ya ;)

Azhthar responds:

Thanks a lot! Actually I´m also not very familiar with this kind of music, so that doesn´t matter ;) Glad you like it!

This is really relaxing :) It sounds big and open, you used the reverb really well. Also a quite good stereo image, I like it :)

The only feedback I would give: Try to vary the percussion. If you change little things it sounds less like a loop, and it gets even more pleasant to listen to ^^

4,5 stars!

bwmusic responds:

Thank you. And yes, I am tooling with percussion but only upload samples here, since I'm not sure how to disable downloads (if possible)

Well mixed, awsome 8-bitty sounds, big and open sound...
This just makes me very VERY happy :)

You earned 5 stars!

Noisysundae responds:

Thanks. I rarely made this kind of melody though.

This is quite relaxing. The beat is just really groovy, is that you beatboxing? :)

Nice work!

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Yeah, it is!

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Cool composition! Simple & quite effective for a relaxing song :)

Although I have to say that you need to work on your mixing techniques. As the reviewer below me (balancebirds) said, the synth at 00:35 comes in really loud. I think it becomes a little annoying to listen to, even when the sound and melody's are awsome.

Try to put more reverb on the synth and turn the volume down, it will become way more pleasant to listen to! :)

Afrojonez responds:

you got some pussy ears fam, happy valentines day

Very cool song! Very peaceful, really sets the mood and my respect for the flute melody. I think it would fit perfectly for films and it reminds me of beautiful nature. I don’t have much to criticize about the choice of instruments or the arrangements. You can hear that it all fits together and that has been chosen with the right intensions. However, I can mention some things about the final mix.

I listened to this track while looking at the spectrum analyzer. A device where I can see all the frequencies of the track. I noticed that the most activity is above 400-500 Hz. This is the mid / high section and for instance, the flute is playing above that frequency. In my opinion the track needs a little boost in the low frequencies (below 400Hz). The track will get more balanced and and a warmer sound. Don’t overdo it though, you don’t want that your track becomes blurry :)

At last I would say: Go play around a little bit more with your reverb. I can hear the reverb on the instruments, but the reverberation stays around in the middle of your stereo image. Maybe you can try to expand the width of your reverb vst/plugin/device. The sound will get a lot bigger and even more magical. Tip: If you work with auxiliary channels, use two channels for one reverb. Put the same reverb plugin on both channels and pan them all the way left en right. This way you can decide precisely which instruments gets reverb in your stereo image.

Besides that I am a little bit of a nitpicker about mixing, you have talent man. Keep on writing and recording. :)

NyxTheShield responds:

Oh yeah, i get what are you saying, it's just i couldnt find any natural instrument to fill those lower frequencies, the flute is in fact a plastic recorder, and the lower one is the same recorder tuned 1 octave lower, (Which is still considered pretty high considering thats it a recorder), and i didn't want to add a bass or something that wasn't acoustic. I will definitivey check about double tracking the reeverbs though c:
